1865 Map of Lewis Co New York

In the 1860 Federal census the Patrick English family is enumerated at Martinsburgh which is located in the center of Lewis county.

In the 1870 Census reports the children are enumerated with several different families which would indicate that the parents had died in that ten year interval.

The eldest daughter, Adeline, is married to Eli Plopper and still living at Martinsburgh.

Edgar J is living with the Seland Williams family at New Bremen (Lowville PO).

George is with the Harlow Kilmer family at Harrisburg at dwelling 37. At dwelling 44, John and Ellen are living in the Stephen Doxator household. Also in the household are several members of the Goutermont family.

I have not yet found Marietta or William E in 1870.
